Anterior missing single tooth is one of the challenging scenarios in implant dentistry. Fixed prosthesis options (Implant supported crown, resin bonded bridge) are both attractive alternatives for most individuals. In this lecture, the performance of Resin Bonded Bridge is compared with dental implant, in the aesthetic zone. Restorative and surgical practical tips will be covered to achieve predictable clinical results. The question remains “why we should prefer one option over the other” depending on the local, systemic and patient factors.

Dr Nima Kianoush
DDS, BDS, PhD, D.Clin.Dent (Perio) (Syd), MRACDS (Perio)
Specialist PeriodontistDr Kianoush works as a periodontist at Shire Periodontics, Miranda, NSW. He has been involved in teaching postgraduate dental students (DMD and BDS) at the University of Sydney since 2008. He has also been heavily involved in research and completed his PhD in Oral Life Sciences and Oral Microbiology at Institute of Dental Research (IDR), Faculty of Dentistry, University of Sydney.
Dr Kianoush’s research has been accepted in peer-reviewed journals for publications and has received grants from Australian Dental Research Foundation (ADRF), International Scholarships, as well as grants from Faculty of Dentistry, The University of Sydney. Dr Kianoush is a member of International Association for Dental Research (IADR), Australian and New Zealand Academy of Periodontists (ANZAP) and International Team for Implantology (ITI). He is an active reviewer for a number of high-impact journals in the field of oral biology and microbiology.
