Module 1 Synopsis

Master the foundation of successful periodontal care. This module focuses on modern periodontal screening, diagnosis, and advanced scaling and root planing techniques through lectures, demonstrations, and intensive hands-on training.

Sessions:
Morning – Screening, diagnosis, scaling concepts, demo
Afternoon – Hands-on scaling and debridement

    Dr Nima Kianoush

    DDS, BDS, PhD, D.Clin.Dent (Perio) (Syd), MRACDS (Perio)
    Specialist Periodontist

    Dr Kianoush works as a periodontist at Shire Periodontics, Miranda, NSW. He has been involved in teaching postgraduate dental students (DMD and BDS) at the University of Sydney since 2008. He has also been heavily involved in research and completed his PhD in Oral Life Sciences and Oral Microbiology at Institute of Dental Research (IDR), Faculty of Dentistry, University of Sydney.

    Dr Kianoush’s research has been accepted in peer-reviewed journals for publications and has received grants from Australian Dental Research Foundation (ADRF), International Scholarships, as well as grants from Faculty of Dentistry, The University of Sydney. Dr Kianoush is a member of International Association for Dental Research (IADR), Australian and New Zealand Academy of Periodontists (ANZAP) and International Team for Implantology (ITI). He is an active reviewer for a number of high-impact journals in the field of oral biology and microbiology.
