Dr. Kianoush is a registered specialist Periodontist at Shire Periodontics in Miranda, NSW, with a strong background in clinical practice and academia. He currently lectures at the University of Queensland, Dental School and has previously contributed to postgraduate dental education in DMD and BDS programs at the
University of Sydney.
Dr. Kianoush earned his PhD in Oral Life Sciences and Oral Microbiology at the Institute of Dental Research, Faculty of Dentistry (USYD). His research has been published in peer-reviewed journals and supported by grants from the Australian Dental Research Foundation (ADRF).
He is a member of the IADR, ANZAP, and ITI and serves as a reviewer for leading journals in oral biology and microbiology. He also completed the Global Clinical Scholars Research Training Program at Harvard Medical School, reflecting his commitment to research
and professional development.

Dr. Fertman is a registered specialist Periodontist at Shire Periodontics. Max completed his initial dental training at the University of Adelaide before advancing his specialisation in periodontics at the University of Sydney.
Over the past decade, he has cultivated extensive experience in a variety of settings, ranging from public health facilities to private practices throughout New South Wales and South Australia. His expertise encompasses all areas of periodontics including advanced surgical implant therapies.
Dr. Fertman actively contributes to the dental profession by mentoring and supervising dental students at the University of Sydney. He is an active member of several prestigious organisations, including the Australian Dental Association, Australian & New Zealand Academy of Periodontists, Australian Society of Periodontology, and the American Academy of Periodontology.
BDSc Hons, MRACDS (GDP), D.Clin.Dent.(Syd), MRACDS (Pros)
Dr Kei is a registered specialist prosthodontist at Pinnacle Dental Specialists in Miranda, NSW. He completed his Bachelors of Dental Science with honours from the University of Queensland and Doctorate in Clinical Dentistry (Prosthodontics) from the University of Sydney.
He is also a Member of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in both the general dental practice and the specialist prosthodontics stream by examination. Louis currently holds a position at the Westmead Centre for Oral Health as a visiting Prosthodontist and is actively involved in the training of post-graduate students at the University of Sydney.
As a highly active member of the dental community, Louis has published in dental journals and is a member of the International Team of Implantologists, Australian Prosthodontic Society, Academy of the Australian and New Zealand Prothodontists, and the Australian Osseointegration Society.
MDSc (Oral Med), FFDS RCSI (Oral Med), FRACDS (Oral Med) Staff Specialist in Oral Medicine, Westmead Hospital
Mark has been a Specialist in Oral Medicine for over 25 years, having inaugurated the specialty in NSW. Mark is
predominantly based at Westmead Hospital and holds clinical appointments with the Department of Oral Medicine,
Westmead Centre for Oral Health, the Department of Haematology’s Blood and Bone Marrow Transplant Unit, The
Head and Neck Cancer Clinic and the Oral Immunology Clinic.
Mark has extensive experience in the key aspects of
specialist oral medicine practice, that includes oral mucosal disease, hyposalivation, complex oro-facial pain, and management of the medically-complex dental patients, including in-patient care, particularly of patients undergoing intensive chemotherapy and haematopoietic stem cell transplantation.
Mark was Head of Training of the specialist training program in oral medicine (Doctor of Clinical Dentistry (Oral Medicine) of the University of Sydney based at Westmead for over 15 years, having contributed to the training of eight of the nine current oral medicine specialists in NSW.
Mark is an active researcher, with a particular interest in immuno-bullous disorders and their management by biologic agents with over 90 scientific publications.
